East of England accountant FAQs

Do I need an accountant based in the East of England?

No. We work online with businesses across the East of England, including Cambridge, Chelmsford, St Albans and Norwich. You share records digitally and speak to your accountant by phone, email or video, on weekdays until 8pm and on Saturday mornings.

I commute into London as a contractor. Can you help?

Yes. Many of our contractor clients live in Essex and Hertfordshire and work in London. We'll explain how IR35 affects you, help you choose the right way to work, and look after your limited company accounts, payroll and tax returns.

Can you help farms and rural businesses?

Yes. We work with rural businesses and sole traders across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, preparing accounts, VAT returns and tax returns, and we'll talk you through Making Tax Digital if it applies.

Does Making Tax Digital affect me?

If you're a sole trader or landlord with qualifying income over £50,000, Making Tax Digital for Income Tax applies from 6 April 2026, and the threshold falls to £30,000 from April 2027. We set up compatible software and submit your quarterly updates as part of your fixed fee.

Can I switch accountants partway through the year?

Yes. You can move to us at any time of year. We contact your current accountant, collect your records and take over your HMRC and Companies House authorisations, so nothing is missed.

What's included in the fixed fee?

Your fee is agreed before we start and covers the services in your package, including calls and emails with your accountant. You aren't charged by the hour, and anything outside your package is quoted up front.
