Is company formation free?
Forming a private limited company is free with a limited company or contractor package, and an LLP is free with an LLP package. Companies House charges its own registration fee, currently £100, which we pass on at cost.
Which type of company do I need?
Most trading businesses use a private limited company. Partners in a professional firm often use an LLP. Non-profit organisations usually use a company limited by guarantee or a CIC. We'll recommend the right type before you register.
Why does an overseas company formation cost more?
Overseas set-ups involve identity checks for directors abroad, reviewing overseas documents, group structures, extra tax registrations and help with UK banking. The price covers that extra work.
Do directors need to verify their identity?
Yes. Directors, LLP members and people with significant control must verify their identity with Companies House. We guide you through it, including for directors based overseas.
How long does it take?
Most UK companies are registered within one working day once identity verification is complete. CICs need approval from the CIC Regulator, and overseas registrations usually take longer.
Can I use your address as my registered office?
Yes. Our registered office service keeps your home address off the public register, and is available as an add-on.
