There are domestic rates instead of council tax, a separate landlord registration scheme, and special VAT arrangements for goods traded with the EU. We make sure each one is handled correctly for you.
- One agreed monthly fee, with no hourly charges
- Qualified AAT, ACCA and ICAEW accountants
- HMRC and Companies House deadlines tracked and filed

Northern Ireland accountant FAQs
Is income tax different in Northern Ireland?
No. Income tax, National Insurance and Corporation Tax use the same rates in Northern Ireland as in England. You file Self Assessment with HMRC in the usual way, and we prepare and file your return for you.
I trade goods with the Republic of Ireland. What do I need to know?
Under the Windsor Framework, Northern Ireland follows EU VAT rules for goods. If you buy or sell goods with EU businesses, you'll usually need to tell HMRC and use an XI prefix on your VAT number. We can register you and handle your VAT returns.
I'm a landlord in Northern Ireland. What do I need to know?
Private landlords must register with the Landlord Registration Scheme. Your rental profits are taxed through Self Assessment, and you pay Stamp Duty Land Tax when you buy property, as in England. We prepare your rental accounts and tax return.
Does Making Tax Digital affect me?
If you're a sole trader or landlord with qualifying income over £50,000, Making Tax Digital for Income Tax applies from 6 April 2026, and the threshold falls to £30,000 from April 2027. We set up compatible software and submit your quarterly updates as part of your fixed fee.
Can I switch accountants partway through the year?
Yes. You can move to us at any time of year. We contact your current accountant, collect your records and take over your HMRC and Companies House authorisations, so nothing is missed.
Do I need an accountant based in Northern Ireland?
No. We work online with businesses across Northern Ireland, including Belfast, Derry, Newry and Enniskillen. You share records digitally and speak to your accountant by phone, email or video, on weekdays until 8pm and on Saturday mornings.
